This lesson takes children through looking at simple picture patterns and working out the next picture in the sequence. Number word to number match up Worksheets (x5) - Children draw a line from a number word to match up to its numeral. Each worksheet gets harder. Counting worksheets (x4) - Each ten frames shows different number of dots which the children count and write in words in the space provided. Double Ten Frames Read and Draw worksheets (x3)- Teen numbers up to 20. Children read the number words and then draw the same number of dots. One more/one less worksheets (x5) - Children read the numbers in words and then write in words one less and one more on either side of the number word. In addition, two of the worksheets have a missing letters activity. Children insert the missing letters in the number words. In this ‘I Spy’ autumn/fall related product, students have to seek and find 18 two-dimensional pumpkin shapes. There are two sets of ‘I Spy’ worksheets: Students draw a circle around the matching shapes: Set 1: For more able students who can find the shape regardless of the pumpkin pattern. Set 2: For students who need to see the exact pattern and shape. When all the shapes are found, students should write the name of the shape at the bottom of the worksheet. This resource is about comparing two lengths using a strip of paper cut to the same height of each child in the class. Lesson plan and PowerPoint Presentation included - can be adapted. The children will enjoy this activity. It is a precursor to other types of measurements children will be learning later on in maths. The only preparation needed is cutting strips of paper (colour paper if preferred) not too thin to the height of each child to carry out the activity.

Spring-themed resource which is also ideal for St David’s Day activity. A cut and paste puzzle activity counting 1 to 5. You can prepare the activity by cutting out the puzzles and having the children sort through to count and match the number of daffodils to the correct number or for the more able number words and number. Alternatively, to improve their fine motor skills, place the sheets of paper on their tables and get the children to cut out and match the two sides of the puzzles. This worksheet activity is suitable for Reception upwards. It can be adapted into sorting numbers into 2s or 5s and used as revision. The number track must first be completed and then the children attempt the calculations. In practice, the children are making their own number track. This is an adaptation of the sorting in tens worksheets.
